So, my computer crashed and my hard drive is fried. I was able to get a new hard drive and have it fixed for not a terrible amount of money, but everything on the old hard drive that wasn't backed up elsewhere is gone (including all of AAU, minus the pdf versions I use for printing). I'm not that crushed about that since the series is discontinued, but I am however dismayed about my lost homework and class notes...I have several portfolio related assignments coming up this semester and I'm not even sure what work I have available to use now, though I'm thinking I have enough. They've sent my old hard drive to data recovery, but that will cost hundreds of dollars to retrieve at a minimum, so I'll be weighing the pros and cons about trying to get the data back.
I also lost all my software. I have discs for everything, but I'm not sure I still have the serial number for my adobe suite, which is what I use the most now and what I need for school. I have the trial version on this laptop I'm using until mine gets back from getting fixed, but I don't have my graphic tablet software with me, so I'm still going to have to work in the school lab some until I make it home.
This semester is seriously a TON of work.
Though, I have to say, life is pretty excellent right now on the whole. Lost hard drive aside haha. I have an art and design internship with a small publishing company this summer, which will hopefully be good. Got my work study back at school recently. Friends and everything are great. And life is just overall been extremely blessed the last year or so. God is so good. Feelin' thankful
I also have a new slice of life comic series on the backburner. School is insane right now, so I don't know how much time I'll have to work on it, but keep an eye out
